Fed Rate Cuts Not As Effective Late Cycle

Most economic observers would agree that the U.S. economy is in late-cycle.  As the above graph to the left conveys, Fed interest rate cuts in the late-cycle have not produced, on average, positive equity returns 12-Months forward.  Also, credit spreads widen (right graph) on average 100 bps providing losses to HY investors.
